Once upon a pixel, sometime around 2005, Annegret von Feiertag stumbled into the world of advertising and graphic design, bright-eyed, caffeinated, and armed with far too many Pantone swatches. She studied graphic design, learned how to kern, crop, and survive critiques, and spent years in agencies mastering the delicate art of “can you just make it pop?” and “maybe move the logo a little to the left.”
In 2014 she escaped the agency bubble and became a freelance illustrator, discovering the joy of working in pajamas and the terror of managing invoices. But still images soon felt too still, so she fell for motion design, where pictures finally started to breathe, blink, and occasionally dance. One keyframe led to another until she found herself directing moving images that make people laugh, feel, and sometimes question reality just a little.
Today Annegret works as a director with a soft spot for comedy, bold visual storytelling, and the wonderfully unpredictable species known as humans. Her work often plays with the oddities of everyday life: people, behavior, small truths and finding the funny side of being human. She loves working with real people, stories that wobble between charming and absurd, and visuals that hit just the right nerve.
Most recently, Annegret fell headfirst into the strange, beautiful chaos of generative AI, her newest creative partner, collaborator, and occasional frenemy. Together they dream, prompt, and pixelate their way through new visual worlds, somewhere between the analog past and the algorithmic future.
Today she lives between pixels, prompts, and projects, a designer-illustrator-motion-director-human still slightly obsessed with making things look good and move better.
