Emil Kalus is an emerging, cinematographer, photographer and artist based in Berlin. He was Born in Poland and grew up in Germany, he is a graduate in Cinematography from the prestigious National Film school in Łódż, Poland. While studying cinematography, he quickly worked his way up in polish feature films and commercials. Author of numerous short films shot digital and on 35mm. His interest lies in analogue photography, exploring different methods and formats, like 35mm, 120 and wet plates. In 2022 he was also a recipient of the Goethe Institute Artist Residency in India. He loves painting his visuals with light, as light is not only the most important element of photography but also the very essence of life.
